TAIPAN F3F flying at high speed near the slope

About Ventares

Built from real F3F experience.

Ventares is focused on high-performance F3F model sailplanes developed from practical competition experience, prototype work and direct feedback from international slope racing.

What Ventares stands for

Ventares combines aircraft development, prototype work, competition flying and practical feedback from the international F3F scene. The goal is not to create a generic sport model, but a precise and competitive sailplane system for real slope racing conditions.

The TAIPAN F3F project is based on direct experience with fast coastal and inland slopes, changing weather conditions, demanding handling requirements and the constant need for reliable, repeatable performance.

Core focus

  • F3F competition performance
  • Practical setup and handling
  • Robust design for demanding conditions
  • Direct customer communication
  • Small-scale, quality-oriented distribution

Experience

Competition pilot, aircraft developer and event organizer.

Ventares is led by Erik Schufmann, an active F3F competition pilot, model aircraft developer, prototype builder and event organizer within the international FAI/F3F scene. The TAIPAN F3F project is therefore not based on abstract product planning, but on direct experience from competition flying, aircraft development and practical work at the slope.

Since 2013, Erik has been active in international F3F competition. His work combines aerodynamic and structural development, prototype construction, aircraft setup, quality feedback, final assembly and customer-oriented technical consulting.

F3F background

  • International F3F competition pilot since 2013
  • 2015 F3F World Cup winner in the Czech Republic
  • 2022 F3F Vice World Champion, team ranking, with his own GRANE design
  • Organizer of the 2018 F3F World Championship
  • Organizer of the F3F World Cup Germany since 2019

Mamba GT

Co-development of the F3F/F3B/F3G model Mamba GT, combining practical competition feedback with modern composite aircraft design.

Current

TAIPAN F3F

Development of the TAIPAN F3F as the current preferred competition glider and core product of Ventares.

Practical aircraft building

Development does not stop at CAD.

The Ventares approach includes concept development, prototype building, flight testing, setup work, final assembly and direct technical feedback from competition use.

This practical background is important for the TAIPAN F3F: ballast range, handling, structural reliability, transport, preparation at the slope and customer support all matter in real competition use.

testing is fun

From competition to product

The TAIPAN F3F is developed with a clear focus on slope racing. Design decisions are driven by practical competition use: speed, handling, ballast range, structural reliability and ease of preparation at the slope.

International F3F background

F3F is a highly demanding radio-controlled glider racing discipline. Aircraft are flown close to the slope in strong and often turbulent lift. A competitive model needs speed, stability, precise handling and the ability to carry ballast effectively.

Ventares builds on this background and aims to offer a direct, transparent and technically grounded path from aircraft development to customer delivery.
